Phone calls from the ship?

Are there phones that can be used to make calls to people on land? If they are will the use prepaid phone cards?

There are phones in your cabin that can be used to call land, but they are $7.95 per minute, calling cards cannot be used. It is cheaper, if you have to call, to use a cell phone, or buy a calling card in the ports and use a pay phone there

We have just used our cell phone. Call your provider and tell them where you are going and they can put you on international calling.

Calls can be made from the phone in your cabin through the ship for lots of dollars.

or if at sea one option is to use VOIP connected to a computer and pay 55c a minute whilst connected. if the ports are blocked then use alternative ports.
