Lakeport2739 Posted January 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 14, 2009 Can anyone help me who has been to the Bacob Eco Park? Is it worth the $49? How are the bugs, walking, pool, gardens etc. & and how long did it take to get there and did they use a bus to get you to the park? Also on the Altun Ha Mayan Site & River Wallace, how long is the bus ride to the site, is it pretty bumpy and over mountains and how are the bugs? Was it worth the $71? Since this is our first cruise, we think it would be wise to stick with Carnival excursions at least in Belize for safety. We really appreciate all the help trying to decide the best excursion. By the way, we are seniors, so do not wan't tubing etc. If we waited to book one of these excursions on the boat, do you think they would be all booked up? If anyone has any other ideas, we would love to hear them! :) Thank you very much!!!
stlrboo Posted January 15, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2009 We booked the Altun Ha/River Wallace thru Carnival several years ago, and really enjoyed it...:) I didn't consider the bus ride to be overly long... 30 to 45 minutes!! The bus was had AC and a bathroom... (if I'm not mistaken)..;) I was just looking at the BaCab Eco Park & Butterfly Farm for our upcoming sailing in June... Haven't seen much posted..:p Since we have already done the Altun Ha/River Wallace, we may just opt for a "day at the beach", tho' we do enjoy seeing more of the country itself.. There are usually spots on the ship to book for excursions, but booking online is so much easier.. Tickets will be waiting in the cabin on embarkation day..!!:D IMHO..
