Hotel in Miami and Taxi

can you recommend a hotel in Miami that is close to the cruiseship-terminal and also fairly priced and clean?

 

How much would be a taxi from the airport to the hotel and to the terminal?

Hi Daniel,

 

I see you are relatively new to cruise critic. Have you come across the "ports of call" threads on cruise critic? You may get more answers there on hotels for Miami.:)

 

Having, said that I just booked a pre-cruise stay at the Beacon Hotel, South Beach Miami. Fairly reasonably priced. I hope it's nice...:rolleyes:!! Haven't stayed there before.

There is a holiday inn very close, my sister and mother stayed there last year and fine. I have not stayed there myself. We usually stay at the Marriott south beach, we like to be on the beach and that hotel (while expensive) treats us very well.

If your just staying the night you might look for hotels that offer free shuttle from the airport. I found one that I booked yesterday, it gives you a free shuttle to the room and has a shuttle service to the pier for $7.00 pp. Its the Fairfield Marriott about 3 miles from the airport cost about $100 a nite...Good luck

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Miami for $124 (including taxes) in December. The cab ride from the airport was about $22 plus tip. We got a ride from a CC friend in the morning, so I can't help you with that aspect.
