Rental cars at Port Everglades?

Hi,

 

We're thinking of renting a car after our cruise - does anyone know if any rental car companies are represented at the port, or would we have to go to the airport to pick up the car? We were thinking of renting from either AVIS or ALAMO.

There are no rental car companies represented at the port. Just outside the port perimeter Thrifty has an office. There's another dozen car rental agencies all under one roof opposite terminal 1 at the airport that's only 2.5 miles from the cruiseport.

I was going to say thrifty. I like the company, they are at the airport and the Port. I'm going on Princess and them being at the port it's still 1-2 miles away from the ship, but they have a shuttle. I'm going to rent a car for my day before, and drop it off on the way to the ship.
