Looking for reveiws of pensiones in roma

Recommended Posts

There aren't really any Pensiones in Italy anymore. They changed the name to hotels. The closest thing you will find to a Pensione now is a Bed and Breakfast. Some of the "Hotels" in Rome are so small they really should still be called Pensiones, but who knows why they changed the name. Maybe fore the government to get more taxes.

Try www.venere.com they have a nice city map showing location of the hotel, reviews, and you don't have to pay up front when you make the reservation.

I also like www.tripadvisor.com for reviews.

There are also small hotels run by nuns that are less expensive than the regular hotels. I stayed at http://www.domusaurelia.com/ near the Vatican.

Have a great trip.
