Ft Lauderdale Best Western Oceanside Inn... feedback please!

Hello,

We are going to be booking the Best Western Oceanside Inn in Ft Lauderdale and I am looking for some feedback on this hotel. We will be cruising out of Miami but because we want to spend some time with friends in the area we have chosen this hotel. Also, we are hoping to use Airmiles to book it (waiting for them to release the points) so while using up our points it will be next to free for us to stay here.

Good, bad or ugly :D

Thanks!

We stayed there 1 night precruise in 2007. Hotel was fine. It is an older hotel but clean and nice. Right next door to Sheraton Yankee Clipper. You can go out front and about a block to the beach or some people were just going next door and through the Yankee Clipper to the beach. Great location. If you are there on Fri_Sun the Sun Trolley stops in front of hotel. Water Taxi is across the street and about 2 blocks up behind the fire station. They have a really good complimentary breakfast.

We stayed there in 2007 as well because we wanted to sail on the Jungle Queen, which was within walking distance. I thought the location was great and it was perfectly comfortable for a short stay. It's not right on the beach, but it's a short walk to the beach.
