BostonGrl626 Posted January 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 16, 2009 While the cruise dates for June 2010 haven't been released yet, I have been doing quite a bit of research and was wondering if there are any "extended" cruises (9+) during that month in the Caribbean area. I'm only familiar with Carnival and RCCL - so perhaps another cruise line offers longer cruises in the Caribbean? I'm asking because this trip will be for our honeymoon and we would prefer to have an extended vacation over 7 or 8 days. Do any of you have any suggestions? Thanks for your help! eh2zed Posted January 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2009 There will be cruise 10-14 days in length. Try the search facility at www.*****.com However, many cruise lines haven't posted that far out yet. You can do a 2 7 day b2b as well. Some ships sail a different itinerary on alternate weeks. kitty9 Posted January 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Not a lot of ships stay in the Caribbean in the summer and many move to Alaska, Europe or Canada cruises. I don't know of any who do the longer cruises in summer. You can try a back to back cruise on Celebrity Century which does a five day on one itinerary and a 4 day on the next, with different ports. Many people really love doing the back to back cruises. I would also suggest seeing a local travel agent, at no cost to you, pick up a few brochures and see what's out there. wrp96 Posted January 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2009 RCCL and Princess usually have some 9 night cruises to the Caribbean out of the New York area during the summer. RCCL also usually offers a 9 night Caribbean cruise out of Baltimore. Your other option is to consider a back to back cruise on a ship that normally does 7 night cruises (or 3, 4, or 5 night cruises). You could do a 7 night Western back to back with a 7 night Eastern and get multiple ports and a longer cruise. HAL and Celebrity usually do not have ships in the Caribbean during the Summer.
