Solstice Family Cabin

A couple of questions for you folks. We're travelling in May 09 and Jan '10 and are very excited after 6 voyages on the QM2, it will be nice to try something new.

Do the family ocean view staterooms have concierge class benefits? and also, if our travelling companions are in a Celeb. Suite and we are in AQ - would we be able to join them for dinner in the MDR? I'm guessing they could eat in Blu, but wondered if it worked the other way around..

Thanks!

Hi I am a bit confused by this, but will try to help. Do you mean the family ocean view with veranda cabin, of which there are only 4? If so, I don't think there will be any particular extra benefits, apart from the fact it is very large with 2 bedrooms and a separate living area. As I understand it is classed as a veranda cabin.

I haven't read too much about the Blu/MDR issue as we would never go Aquaclass (2 teenage boys!). From what I have read if you are in AQ you are assigned to Blu and all other cabins are assigned the MDR. You can try and swap either way but it is down to availability - my guess is it would be easier to go from Blu to the MDR than the other way round.

Perhaps others can help also?

No, the Solstice FV cabins do not have any benefits other than a LOT of space. You also would be assigned the main dining room and your friends BLU... they can opt out of BLU and dine with you... but you can't really opt out of the main dining room and eat with them in BLU.

The room looks awesome!!!
