Island tour duration

It appears the length of most of the private tour companys tours are about 6 hours. It seems to me that you have about two or more hours before the ship leaves. If the ship docks at 7:00, I would expect to be off by 8:00 and if departs at 5:00 you would need to be back by 4:00/4:30. So you would have say 8:00 to 4:00 for a tour that is 8 hours not 6.

Has any one requested additional time, for example on the beach and if so what did they charge you.

That was a concern of mine too. We ended up booking through Gordon and did a private tour. I bet he'd be willing to extend the tour depending on interest if you ended up doing a group tour.

We ended up being on Darkwood Beach for almost 3-hours and did an abridged tour of the island (we want to spend an entire day at Nelson's Dockyard, we're saving that for our next vacation).

I highly recommend getting in touch with him tourinfo@tourguidegordon.com

That was definitely the highlight of our vacation, and one of the best days of our lives. We can't recommend him enough.
