M-class 7173 or 7171...did elevator/traffic noise bother you

Looking for someone who has stayed in 7171 or 7173 on an M-class ship.

I noticed that those are close to the Aft lifts, but have the coveted angled larger balconies? If you stayed in them did the higher traffic and noise from the lifts bother you?

Ms. Flagger says she would take the larger balconies over any possibility of elevator noise.

Your comments are welcome. Thanks.

Hi Flagger !

I've stayed in them several times. Yes, its true you tend to hear conversations (it can be annoying when fellow passengers are inconsiderate very late at night). On one Cruise, a couple were out there at 3 am, and were very loud. It ruined a good night's sleep. Other than 1 or 2 hiccups, we rarely had problems.

While the larger balcony is very nice, is wasnt furnished any different than the standard balcony. If you are a very light sleeper, I would suggest you look elswhere. If not, then I would say go for it.

I hope you and Mrs Flagger have a great Cruise !

Well Ms. Flagger always goes for a larger balcony. We have been on Deck 9 and dealt with the overhang. This is on a lower deck and we are Elite so there is no real benefit to CC class anyway unless we could get an aft facing stateroom.

We had one on Rhapsody of the Seas on the aft and we had tons of noise from the staterooms down. So you can get obnoxious partners at any place on the ship.

Thanks though!
