theplaceofh Posted January 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2009 I've been e-mailing a guide for an excursion in Roatan, and he says he can get dh and me on the 11:00am dive Roatan time, which is the same as Central Standard Time in the US. What time zone will the ship be operating in, Eastern Time, since that's where Tampa is? I need to make sure that we can complete our dive and be back on the boat on time. Also, if the itinerary says we are in port from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, what time should we plan to be back on board? Thanks!

However, on occasion this does not occur. You would need to check with your cruise line directly to be absolutely sure. All Aboard is a half hour before scheduled departure. kitty9 Posted January 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2009 Many times you won't know until you're actually on board the ship because it's the captain who decides whether to change times or stay on the same time as your port of embarkation. You need to be back on the ship no later than 45 minutes before departure, especially if you're at a tender port.
theplaceofh Posted January 20, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted January 20, 2009 Thanks. I ended up calling Carnival and they said the Legend would stay on Eastern Standard Time.
