Disembarkation in Buenos Aires

Question--we disembark in Buenos Aires at 5 am but our flight does not leave until midnight. We want to take a city tour and also shop in the San Telmo market and have dinner in the city before heading to the airport around 8 pm. What do we do with our luggage? We have been told the ship cannot transfer our luggage to the airport for us.
