RCI response to Carnival Early Saver?

Recommended Posts

I am still pretty new to this whole cruising thing but I am wondering if anyone has heard of any possible plans from RCI to counter the pretty decent savings that Carnival is now offering with the Early Saver bookings? I have not experienced the differnce between the 2 companies but I have experienced the difference in my savings account in the last little while. So I am sure there are many that will say you are not really comparing apples to apples when comparing pricing between RCI and Carnival but I am not really trying to directly compare them. I just think that if one company is going to offer some pretty good savings then another company might want to do the same.

If you check, I think you will find decent prices on both lines. As I see it, the CCL program is a non-refundable deposit. You can transfer to another cruise within 1 year if you decide to cancel the booking, but you forfeit $50.

The economy will determine the rates as much as any other factor.
