Call from Carnival for an upgrade?

Sorry this is a duplicate thread! I didn't think the other one went through!

 

I received a call from Carnival last night asking if I want to upgrade from my balcony room on 2/22/09 cruise on Freedom to a suite. Unfortunately I missed the call & they left a msg. They said the price on the suite has been "drastically reduced" so this isn't a free upgrade! Has anyone received such a call? Do you think the price for the suite will be close to what I paid for my 8G cabin or is Carnival just trying to make more money? Hmmmmm...

 

(By the way I did call back but had to leave a msg as well)

Others have mentioned getting calls and they are "upsells" not "upgrades" so do expect to pay more. Some were offered pretty fair deals and others were offered prices that were not that great.

 

Hopefully you will get a decent offer....just be sure it's worth whatever $$$ they want you to pay extra...
