i just spoke to the crown and anchor in witchia. she said that she has not received an e-mail concerning the closing of all c/l. she also said that all the people in witchia would receive notice as they would be getting all the phone calls complaining.

so far so good. we are diamond plus and have 5 more cruises booked. we enjoy the c/l and it would be very unhappy if they remove them.

i am sure most of you cruisers are aware of all the changes by rccl. they are taking away the items that we many time cruises have gotten used.

i understand the times dicate some changes, but the diamond cruisers are the backbone of the company and should be treated accordingly. many of us are stockholders and not just 100 shares which shows our interests in rccl.

any comments?

Since you're ASKING for comments, I will post my opinion of what you are saying.

First: I, like C&A, have not heard ANYTHING about them "closing" the Con.Lounge. Why in the world would you think that?

Some ships are ADDING a D/D+ Lounge (same as Con.Lounge, but different location) because of crowding in the Con.Lounge.

 

Second: and this is coming from a Diamond Member also, You are NOT the backbone of RCI (sorry). RCI has (in my opinion) the best Loyalty Program running, and they do treat their returning passengers with great appreciation, but we actually represent a very small percentage of their total pax. The market in which they are growing the most is "First Time Cruisers"; you can tell by the new ships coming out, and that's why things are changing.
