We were suppose to fly in to Tampa on Friday, but a exploding toilet on our plane delayed us by 2.5 hours while a haz mat team cleaned the plane. It was -25 the night before, they didn't empty the waste water which froze, expanded, destroyed the tiolet and entered the cabin area. Needless to say we missed our conection in Newark. They put us up for the night at a Crown Plaza and gave us $56.00 for food, now the wierd thing is that they gave DW and I each a room. we got into Tampa and stayed with DB for the night. Got to the ship on sunday at 1:30pm thanks to a suitcase which brust open while being loaded into the car and a stop at Wal-Mart to get a new one. lines were long but we were VIPed through quickly and were in our cabin by 2:00pm. What a great cabin, we were upgraded from a inside HC room (7101) to a suite at the back of the ship (7345), not the aft wrap but right next to it on the side. Large room, 2 closets, dressing room, bathroom with 2 sinks and a jetted bathtub. Nice bed with a pillow menu, large couch, easy chair with footstool, desk, tons of storage, lots of glasses and a extra long balconey. our cabin steward was great, he was always around and took care of all extra requests. I was worried about motion being this far back in the ship, but it was the same as elsewhere on the ship. Never heard any noice in the the hall or from other cabins. We even put a lounge chair in the door and slept with the balconey door open, it was great. we did get to look at the 2 room aft wrap next to us and we both thought it was way to cramped.

Let me say that everyone on the ship was very friendly both guests and crew. We met alot of nice people, hi Brent, Hank, Jerry, and the hot tub brothers. The ship was very clean and in very good shape.

We did not eat in the dining room as DW did not want to dress up which was fine by me although it left me with alot of clothes I did not get to wear. I did remove our dining room tips and had them divivded between the buffet staff and the room steward. The food on buffet was very good and varied, I like the asian section, thr grill, the deli (great sandwhichs late at night). Had pizza every night also, it was alittle soagy(sp?) so we had them crisp it up for a extra minute. One thing I learned, they do not put out milk on the dinner buffet, but if ask the person at the dessert area they will give it to you.

Went to only two shows, both comedy, both great, I laughed so hard at both I had tears running down my face. Jen was the CD and she and her staff were excellent. we played trivia, ring toss, bean bag toss, and pretty much everything in between. Won 3 trivias, ring toss, the golf putting, but lost in the casino. Did not catch any of the night time music in the lounges. This was not a party cruise as the crowd was on the older side, I talked to one bartender who said this one of the worst cruies for liquor sales that she could remember. we only spent $61.00 of liqour ourselves which was high compared to other cruises(thank goodess for rum runner flasks, I even used one each morning to fill with gava passion juice, boy do I love that juice.

Ports: Cozemul, went to our favorite resterant but Mama had moved to Chicago and food was bland and small, big disapointment.

Belize: Tendered over and had drinks at the dock.

Roatan: Coral Cay beach break, great beach lots of sun. people though the water was chilly, but I went in and stayed in most of the day walking from end to end. Walking in the water is great exorsise (please forgive the spelling, I'm at work and every 5 mins someone pokes thier head in my office. as a matter of fact right now someone has left a beer on my desk).

Grand Cayman:Only ship in port, went to Sting Ray City again, but this time there were only 3 boats there which meant more sting rays per person. The captain even caught some counch and made fresh cevicie on the way back.

Debarcation was a snap, left our cabin at 8;30 and was off the ship in 5 mins.

There were no chair hogs, but there were buffet table hogs. Poeple who would camp out all day reading, napping, playing cards , etc, which made it very hard to find a table at lunch, we ended up eating in our cabin a couple of times. One day there was a group of 3 sitting at a table for 6, I don't know how long they were there but they had 18 coffee cups on the table.

Sorry this is so long, but it was a great cruise as we did our version of free stlye crusing. The Legend is a great ship and I look foward to returning to her in the future. Thank-you and have a great day!!

Sounds like your trip started with a bang! (Sorry, couldn't resist.:o)

Thanks for your review. We had one of those suites on the side last August-they are great, aren't they? We loved the extra long balcony. One of these days I'll have an aft wrap, but til then this one does nicely!

Wow-I want your job. No one ever leaves a beer on my desk:D.

I forgot to mention that they had steak one night on the buffet and it was great. Med rare, moist and juicy. I could not believe that they could put a steak that good on the buffet and not have it dry out. I'm sure that is not all I forgot to put in the review, being at work makes it hard to remember stuff without DW. As for the beer on my desk, I run a bar, had it been vodka and oj the owner would not have gotten it back.

Was on the same cruise - had a blast the whole way through. Extremely minor nits: the days at sea could've been about 15 degrees warmer and Jen's voice/accent, for me, got pretty old pretty quickly (realizing fully that this could just be me). :)

Can recommend this ship without reservation.
