We are doing both. have Victor Bodden tour for majority of the day, then going to F & F afterwards for drinks, eats, look around........ more drinks :)- then back to ship! yes, it will cost more, but we are on vacation and it is a well deserved treat.

I have not done both, but was at FnF last week. Our group of 8, ages 3-72 loved it. Nobody was unhappy. Thought it was a good value for the price and easy to get to.

Take towels.

Take bug spray - trust me!

Food is yummy and neither food nor drinks are overpriced.

Be smart about snorkeling so you don't hurt yourself on the corral or more importantly hurt the corral.

My main concern is that from all accounts, and pictures I've seen, it isn't much of a "wading" beach. The coral starts fairly close to the shore. Is that correct? My kids don't need 50 yards to swim in, but it'd be nice for them to atleast be able to get out to their "waist" deep (keeping in mind they're 5 and 9, LOL).

It's been a few months since I was there, but I think you will be ok with the beach and getting some small kids out into the water. If the beach gets boring for them, you can always hit up the pool.

DW and I loved our day there and I ofter say it was one of the best days of my life. I don't know if it was just because I had been relaxing for a few days already when we got there or if it was because it was that great of a day, but I loved it.

Hi - I can't compare all the beaches, but I can tell you that Fins n' Flippers was fabulous. We were just there last Tuesday and it was the best excursion of the whole trip. A lot of people were wading in the beach and you can walk out quite far. It does have some drop offs and

grassy areas and sharp rocks and you'd need to be right next to your kids, but lots of kids were doing it. The kids were also having a great time in the pool. The whole place is teriffic. I snorkled off the pier and felt very safe as there was an employee in a boat watching over everyone. The grounds, pool and restaurant were great. Beautiful place, good food, very

relaxing and VERY easy to get to. We were there from 10:00 am until 3pm

and loved every minute of it. IT is a teriffic bargain in comparison to what the cruise ship excursions cost. You can actually see the cruise ship from Fins n' Flippers which made me feel safe. As mentioned above - bring bug spray. Lots of people were being bit, but I believe this happens at all the beaches in Roatan. There is a short walk from the cruise ship to the shuttle to Fins n'Flippers and people do try to get you to take tours with them, but we just said no and felt perfectly safe. We were immediately met by a representative from Fins n' Flippers and escorted to the boat.

All in all a truly great experience. We took two NCL excursions in the following 2 ports and I can truly say that we liked Fins n' Flippers the best. They also have some animals, beautiful landscaping and ruins on the property. The food is also very good and reasonable.

Have fun everyone!!!! Arna

I too was at Fins & Flippers last Tuesday-it was our families favourite port day. Our children (9&6) had a great time, the beach is shallow for aways and the pool was a huge hit. Food and drink was inexpensive and very good. The landscaping is beautiful and Cindy and staff were most helpful. We made a reservation online, saving $5 per adult ($25 to $20 and a few dollars for children, $10 each). Ithink we spent approx $45 on food & drinks but all were very well priced. I think the beer (which I don't drink) was cheaper than soda and margarita and daiquiri's were about $6 and very good.We heard from others who also had a great day on the west side beaches but for us with kids this was much simpler and really relaxing. I didn't see much in the way of shops other than those at the port area and even for those in the gated area I didn't seeing anything that unusual or of particular interest. All in all a great day and would highly recommend!!
