a few questions!

Recommended Posts

just a couple of questions to those who have sailed!

can you take alcohol onto the ship to drink in you cabin or purchase in the duty free shop ,or is it all kept for departure?

what time does the ship sail from la romana , and is it worth getting off the ship after boarding and doing some sightseeing?

We have booked a cabin on deck 4 and have been told this is a double bed, but looking at other reviews etc, they say there is no set up like this unless in the suites, anyone know of this?

thanks all, and love reading all the great reviews!!

Your double bed will probably be two singles pushed together. Our friends started with this arrangement but found it left very little floor space in the cabin and as the bed was pushed against the wall on one side they had to either climb over each other to get into bed or crawl up from the end. They had it changed to two parallel singles and could then use the fold-up bedside table which was between the two. It also meant they could get close enough to the window to actually see out.

You can take alcohol onto the ship and purchase it from the duty free shop on board. You can only drink it in your cabin. Ask your cabin steward for a bucket of ice on your first day and he/she will have it ready for you each day thereafter.

Your hand luggage is scanned each time you come on board, but this is just a security check, not a 'find the hidden booze' check.;)
