Yarn shops in Alaska ports

I've seen it from $45 to $75 but the key thing here is to really handle it in the shop and find out your situation with it. Qiviut is unusual stuff.

I was given a really nice vest that I absolutely could not wear and sadly returned it to the family member who made it for me.

I own a small bit of the fiber, maybe 30 feet or so that I have thought about using as a trim, but haven't gotten the right bright idea as yet. This link has a very nice video. http://www.qiviut.com/

I would say that it totally depends on what you are looking at. You can get 100% qiviut yarn for say $100 an ounce for a 217 yard ball. I have also seen blends with other fibers, say qiviut with silk and merino, and you get twice as much yardage for about $10 more. There are more blends out there but I would agree that you should feel it in person and make your decision.
