upsell Question

If you were to get an upsell call and wanted to keep it a surprise until the last minute how long could you keep it a secret?

On our last cruise one person kept the secret right up to when they walked in the door.

 

That GV just does not look like the pics/floorplans of any of the other cabins.

We got an upsell last summer and I kept it from my husband until we had to turn over our luggage at the port. It was really hard because he had been asking me if we got an upsell call yet but then stopped a week before the cruise right when I got the call.

I didn't want to change luggage tags before going to port because he would have noticed but then I needed to get new ones once we were there and it just didn't work out that I could hide that and get him on the ship before spilling the beans. It was still fun and we were both very excited when we saw our wonderful cabin!
