onboard accounts

Just wondering about onboard accounts on the Pearl. When do we set these up? On our previous cruises (Carnival and RCI) we could set the accounts up when we registered online. I didn't see that with NCL.

 

Also, we are traveling as a group of 6. We have two rooms, but would like to change the setup of who is in which room. Can we do this at check-in, and how difficult will it be?

Your account will be set up when you arrive at check in at the port. However, NCL does have online preregistration. Have you done that?

We've done this before, but waited till we on board the ship to do it. Check in is very busy and to cut down on confusion, and to expedite getting on the ship, we just let them do check in the way we are assigned. Then once on board, go to the reception desk and tell them what you need. They will be happy to switch people around for you.

You will set up your onboard accounts as part of the check in.

 

You can make changes to the cabin / person assignments at the same time or later onboard the ship. It is not difficult to do, but seems to be frustrating to the NCL person who helps you with it. Remember that check in is a very busy and rushed event for both parties. It would be best to have all of the parties in the "switch" present at the same time.

Don't forget that it is necessary to have an adult in each room or in a connecting room.
