duckie22 Posted February 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I know that RCCL will no longer allow smoking in staterooms unless you have a balcony and then you can only smoke on your balcony. Can anyone tell me what the policy is for the other lines especially Princess? Thanks - Linda D.
ugen512 Posted February 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I don't think RCL or Celebrity even allow it on the balcony. The other cruise lines have cut back on smoking areas but they tried total smoke free ships years ago...couldn't fill them.
CruisnGram Posted February 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Here's RC's policy: Where You Can Smoke: Beginning January 2008, smoking is permitted only on cabin balconies, on the starboard side of open decks and in the designated smoking areas of public rooms. For all cruise lines smoking policies, follow this link: http://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=225 CG
LuvTheGoodLife Posted February 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Princess allows smoking in the cabins and on the balcony. Smoking is not allowed in any of the restaurants, showrooms or lounges but is allowed in the Casino. On deck, smoking is restricted to one side of the ship. (Not sure which side). cattolica Posted February 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2009 from the Princess web site Smoking is not allowed in the dining rooms, or any other food service area, or in the show lounges and theaters. Smoking is permitted in staterooms, stateroom balconies, and designated areas. As a courtesy to your fellow passengers, please refrain from smoking pipes and cigars in all public rooms.
