Question For Ray In PR

Recommended Posts

Good morning Ray. Back in 2001 my husband and I did a cruise out of San Juan. During our overnight stay, we found a local restaurant where my husband ordered Red Snapper. He absolutely loved it. He mentioned last night he would love to find another local restaurant that serves Red Snapper.

We definitely don't remember the name of the restaurant we went to back in 2001, but we do know it was within walking distance from the Sheraton Old San Juan. Could you recommend a local restaurant that serves red snapper and other seafood, not to far from the pier? Many thanks!

Whole fried red snapper here is called "chillo".

It should be available in most restaurants that have seafood.

I don't know where to tell you to get it.

I know that Excambron Beach Club has it, but that's not walking distance from the Sheraton.

Personally, I'd wander up and down Fortaleza and/or San Francisco streets looking at menus until I found it.

I'm not big into food that looks back at me!
