Has anyone visited Orvioto? I will be in Rome on the Celebrity Summit oct 31st out of Barcelona to Venice. this excursion sounds amazing? has anyone been there? barbara

I've been to Orvieto, but not on a cruise tour. It's a great little city. Read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orvieto

 

Make sure you have lunch at "I Sette Consoli" -- a wonderful experience. Also, do the Underground tour. Very enlightening. You buy tickets at the tourist office in the main square.

I have visited Orvieto (not from a cruise) and it is fabulous - truly awe inspiring seeing the city as you approach. Take the trip you won't be disappointed.
