Has anyone stay at the bestwestern coconut waikiki or the beachcomber? How far are they from the beach ,bus routes and shopping?

We have stayed in the Beachcomber, but that was about 15 years ago. Since it still is at the same spot I can give you some answers.

The hotel is right in Waikiki on Kalakaua Avenue, more or less opposite the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and a nice shopping center. Lots of shops at walking distance.

Just a very short walk to the beach.

Also close to buses, restaurants etc.

Trip Advisor has very good reviews of the Coconut. I would love to hear from someone that has stayed. I only plan one night pre and one night post cruise.

We will be staying there 6 nights post cruise in April/May. I will post on here when I return. FYI if you book directly with the hotel 60 days in advance & pay @ time , you will get best price deal that I could see on any of the hotel relayed sites
