Singles Cocktail Party

Do the cruise lines still hold a Singles Cocktail Party within the first couple days of a cruise?

I know that Carnival doesn't hold a Singles Cocktail party but they do have Single Meet & Greets during the cruise. It's usually in one of the lounges at night like the Piano Bar or disco.

No one ever showed up at the meet and greet for solos on Glory Dec. 6, 2008.

On my recent Silversea cruise, the party was held on the first night. There were heaps of single women travelling and they all turned up and we had a great time.

I agree, usually it is a very poor showing and part of the problem is they schedule them at terrible times or right before some other major planned activity taking place in the same lounge and you don't know who is there for what.

 

Maybe someday I will be able to try Silverseas.
