Snorkeling Cozumel vs. Belize

Is the snorkeling better in Cozumel or Belize? We plan to do a snorkel tour at one stop or the other, but are having a difficult time deciding. Any recommendations would really be appreciated!

Belize is much better

Goffs cay is a great place, smack dad on the reef, you snorkel from the beach:)

At Goff's cay did you take a tour boat over? Did they just take you to the island and you snorkel there or did you snorkel also off the boat? We are still deciding where to snorkel in Belize in March. Thanks!

We took the cruise lines excursion boat over and snorkled from the beach, we also had some time for a beach break and could buy food & drink.
