Wow, I almost forgot to even look here--I was so focused on organizing the Cruise Critic Roll Call gathering on 3/24 @ 11AM (basically, no one else volunteered so I did).

Everyone here is welcome to join. The link to that forum is:

NCL will automatically schedule FOD gatherings (I forget the term they use) in the evenings. We showed up twice on our last cruise (Dawn, 10/19/08) and we were the only ones there .

Hopefully, we'll actually get to meet some family on this cruise!

nonnudie,

There will be at least one member of the crew (from the Cruise Director's staff) and sometime "special guests" (operational crew). They usually make a short speech describing what they do and tell something about the ship. There's a Q&A. There's the first opportunity (usually) to sign up for the lottery for the "dine with the crew" night.

On the Dawn, there were refreshments served, but there's no guarantee (and it's not like there are not enough eating opportunities on-board

:D )

If you are interested, please sign up on the Roll Call thread so I have a proper head-count. I am guessing that the more we have, the better our chances of getting more senior crew and goodies. :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone! only a few weeks left :)

Now, only a day or so...

:D

Again, I want to extend an invitation to the Cruise Critic Meet & Greet on Monday at 11AM in the Bliss Lounge on Deck 7. No RSVP is required.

Otherwise, we're going to try to be at the first FOD gathering on Sunday evening. Let's start off the cruise right and make sure we get to know who everyone is!

First Night "Friends of Dorothy Meeting"

I am looking at images of the "Freestyle Daily" that someone posted from a cruise earlier this year. Wish I had done so sooner.

The initial FOD gathering was scheduled at 9:15PM in the Bliss Lounge.

There's no guarantee that it will be same time/same place, but they seem to pre-plan these. We may try to catch the opening show (9PM) in the theatre, so we may miss the first night. I really wish they would plan these better.

Maybe we'll show and can go with others to the show if there's still seating.
