Is there time to do shopping and the excursion to Christmas and Honeymoon Coves?

I going in April on the Freedom and would like to do this excursion. Has anyone done this one? Any opinions would be appreciated. I also would like to do a little shopping in St Thomas but I'm not sure if I'll have time. I'm interested in getting some sort of souvenir from the island. This is my first cruise and first time in St Thomas.

What are your hours in port... when do you have to be back to the ship? And what are the hours for the Christmas Cove excursion?

The hours in port are 8am to 6 pm. This is my first cruise so I'm not sure when you have to be back. The hours of the tour starts at 9:15 am and it's supposed to be approximately 6 1/2 hours. Thanks.

So you'd get back from the excursion around 4pm. If the ship sails off at 6pm... then you likely have to be back on board by 5-5:30? Freedom of the Seas usually docks at the WICO dock in Havensight. There are lots of shops right there. So, if you get back to the dock area from the excursion around 4pm, you should have an hour or so to do some shopping for souvenirs right there at Havensight.
