trixietx Posted February 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2009 We are arriving at the airport in Iguazu in March and want to know the best way to get to the Sheraton. Do we need a guide to do the falls or can we do them on our own and not miss anything? Also back to the airport in Iguazu and we are flying to Sao Paulo, spending one night there and going to the port in Santos. We would like transfers to get us from one place to another. Any advise! From the Sao Paulo Int'l Airport (Guarulhos) into the city and depending of the hotel you go, you have the Airport Bus (about USD 20) or taxis (about USD 50). From Sao Paulo to Santos the cruise lines generally offers a transfer by buses. If not in your case, you should get a taxi arranged by your hotel (about USD 100, but you can negatiate...) On your way you will be entering the National Park and will have to pay for your passes. The Park has a great guide map and the trails are well marked. We had no need for a guide at all but that is up to you. I am sure a guide would provide more history and interpretation. But navigating the Park is not difficult. Very helpful staff at the various train stations and kiosks. Can't help you on the Santos end. We were BA roundtrip.
