C&A Points even if not on the ship

I am planning a cruise with a friend. The price is just to tempting. He already stated that something could get in his way and he would not be able to sail. Of course he looses his money if he does not show up at the port. But does he get his "point" on his C&A membership? Or do you have to be physically available on the ship?

You have to have taken the cruise in order to be eligible for the cruise credits. T&C are here :

It´s my understanding that cruise credits are given for completed cruises, so yes you have to be there.

It´s the same like with airline miles, if you don´t show up for a flight you won´t get points/miles.

The final manifest is sent to Miami after the cruise to show who was physically on the ship.
