saintsfan01 Posted February 15, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2009 We are driving in from New Orleans next weekend (2/21)...and I have a few questions. 1.) Is the ferry that runs to Galveston open? 2.) Is it faster to go this way or is there a faster way? 3.) If the ferry is open, what type of wait will there be on Saturday about 1 pm? Thanks for your help--- any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would guess the Ecstasy as I have some frineds booked on that one.... If it was me, I would leave N.O. as early as possible and just spend the extra time on the Strand in Galveston, or seeings some of the other things available there.....but, that is just me....I am not a big risk taker
saintsfan01 Posted February 17, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Thanks so much for the info. We are driving in on Saturday for this Sunday's Conquest cruise. I think we are going to use the ferry-- just hope the wait isn't too long.
oldmedic Posted February 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2009 i don't think it will be too bad, be sure to bring some old bread with you if you want to feed the sea gulls (at the back of the ferry)
