Question on Tenders

We are planning to do the 4 hour excursion to Eden Rock. Would we be able to tender back to the boat to grab lunch and tender back to Cayman and do some shopping? Or do they not allow tendering more than once?

It would be nice to change clothes and head back for some shopping!:)

You can go back and forth as many times as you'd like..:p However, due to the weather conditions, and where you need to 'tender to' from your ship, planning that far in advance may not be feasible..!;)

...the 4 hour excursion to Eden Rock....

Uh, huh!?!?

Eden Rock is within short walking distance to the tender docks in George Town. You REALLY do not need to take an excursion to enjoy this destination. Do it yourself without ship assistance.

And then hop the tender back to the ship to freshen up. And then back to shore for shopping.

Normally there are very few lines for the tenders during the day. It is only later that people really have to line up and wait.

If you end up tendering in Spotts you will not want to go back to the ship as it will take a huge hunk of time to go back and forth. But then again if you are tendering at Spotts you probably will not be snorkling at Eden Rock because the seas will be too high. There is a place to snorkle by Spotts but we didn't know about it until we were back on the ship. You might want to consider a plan B for high seas!

I agree, Eden Rock is a very short walk from where the tenders drops you off the ship. They rent gear and you just snorkel out to the coral heads. They have a web site ..http://www.edenrockdive.com/ and shows location and prices. If you scuba you may want a tour.
