funtimex2 Posted February 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Just asking..... incase I should need to do some laundry. What ports on the Southbound have coin laundries? Also an est. distance from ship would be helpful.
compulady Posted February 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2009 I too am wondering about a place to do laundry in Seward. Anyone know where?
sylteach Posted February 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Some ships have launderettes on them. You will have to check with your cruise line. The Ryndam of HAL has them and I believe some other HAL ship do too.

If you happen to be staying at the Holiday Inn Express, they have machines on the premises.

cruzky Posted February 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2009 I don't know what line you are sailing on, but every Princess ship that I have been on (5) had laundries on each deck. Roseanna

Skagway is the only one we've used - it's in the gas station and convenience store at State and 2nd, about 3-7 blocks from the various docking positions. funtimex2 Posted February 20, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted February 20, 2009 Thanks, for the laundry infomation. One last question. Do you remember the cost for washing and drying? If I decided to do this I would need correct change.

Ketchikan has a laundromat about a half mile south of the cruise terminal on the main road.
tee_harbor Posted February 21, 2009 #13 Share Posted February 21, 2009 Juneau's downtown laundry may be too far for walking with a sack on your back! Google map the Harbor Wash Board and decide for yourself.
