pandabebe Posted February 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2009 SJ is a port of call on our upcoming Solstice cruise. What do you recommend that we do? We are only there from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
RayInPR Posted February 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Depending on how adventurous you are, you can explore the forts, shop, eat, people watch, walk around Old San Juan, visit Bacardi, ride a Segway around town, go to the rain forest, take a zipline canopy tour, go to a beach, .... I'm sure I've missed something. Here's our list of things that cruise ship visitors typically do -- http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/#cruise-ship And our list of "things to do at night" -- http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/evening-in-old-san-juan/
sun bum Posted February 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2009 no visit to san juan would be complete without a stop at fort el morro and the cemetary of santa maria madgalena
rainforestgirl Posted February 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2009 My favorites: San Cristobal fort, Segway tours, Don Q (free drinks!), Museum of the Americas, free drinks at the PR tourism office (1p-5p M-W), just walking around finding cool sites, stores, art etc. Great photographic material- a 400 year old city, all decked out in colors. http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/old-san-juan-walking-tour-1/

I'm not a big fan of cemetaries, but Santa Maria Madgalena is amazingly beautiful. Just breath taking and right on the waters edge. Cheryl
