Alaska Nature & Wildlife Expedition by Klondike Tour - Skagway

On June 9, my husband and I will be in Skagway on board the Sapphire Princess.

 

We have previously gone on the White Pass Railway by Chilkoot Charters in 2006. We have looked up the Alaska Nature & Wildlife Expedition offered by Klondike Tour (Duration: 5.5 to 6 Hours, Cost: $132.50 per person). Has anyone gone on this tour before? How do you find the tour? What kind of “boat” do they use?

This tour takes the fast-ferry to Haines and then tours by van or school bus. Despite the claims, don't count on seeing much wildlife (and eagles will be seen at many places on your cruise, notably Ketchikan).
