How Many Formal nights on 14 day cruise?

My sister and I will be on the Princendam from June 5th (out of Civitavecchia) to June 19th (Amsterdam). It is a very port intensive cruise with only 3 sea days. Does anyone know how many formal nights we are likely to have?

Thanks for any info you can provide. Also, do the European cruises tend to be more dressy on the non-formal nights?

Usually there are 4 formal nights on a 14 day cruise, but we have had just 3 on occasion.

I don't think our Baltic and Med cruises were more dressy than others. Even though the cruise is in Europe, the vast majority of people on the ship will be American or Canadian, and we act pretty much the same on all itineraries! :D

Edit: OTOH, I've heard that the Prinsendam does tend to have a more "traditional" crowd, so maybe it will be a bit different than we saw on two Vistas.

Our documents for our 14 day Caribbean say 4 formal nights.

Doing a med cruise, keep in mind that they are usually very port intensive cruise with very long days. If you have three sea days, you may only have 3 formal nights, since on port days, no one gets back to the ship early!

We did a 14 day med with Royal Caribbean and originally had 4 formal nights. Somewhere along the line they changed it to three, because we were so port intensive.

Thanks for all your comments. Looking at our schedule, the earliest we depart is 5:00 and three nights e leave after 8:00 PM. I guess I have to figure on at least three formal nights, maybe four.

Looks like I will go for the 'Black & White' combo from the rental folks.
