PrairieWinterCruiser Posted February 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2009 I am just wondering if the water taxi is always on schedule and one can always get on it (i.e. it is not full). Our ship leaves Belize at 5:00 and our plan is to return to Belize from Caye Caulker on the 3:00 water taxi, putting us into port at about 3:45. We then of course still have to take the tender to our ship. Is this okay, or should we be leaving Caye Caulker on the 1:30 taxi to allow for any unforeseen problems? Thank you in advance .... alliefox Posted February 27, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2009 I don't know if its of much help, but I've made a post with the Caye Caulker Water Taxi at the Belize guide I'm trying to put together. Backroads Guide to Belize - Caye Caulker Water Taxi Schedule I can't speak specifically to the reliability of the Caye Caulker water taxi, but I can say that I've been on water a taxi/ferry in another part of the country that had the motor cut out and it took about 20min to get it started again. It was a random thing, but we did get in much later than scheduled. Could be a good idea to go with the earlier departure if you're at all worried about missing the boat.
