cheaper alternative to the 'shadowfax champagne and lobster cruise'

this sounds like a perfect outing for us .... just the $170 per person usd price doesn't.

 

through shadowfax directly it's only $120 pp which they won't let us book as they're reserved by Celebrity for the day.....

 

anyone have any thoughts?

 

Even if we just have lots of lobster somewhere we'd be happy - don't need the champagne :)

We were also looking at the Shadowfax for our upcoming cruise on the Celebrity Summit. We are sailing 3/28/09 and the price on their site is $135 pp....can't believe they're trying to charge you $170. I just emailed the company yesterday to see if we could book direct, but haven't heard yet. I agree it looks great, but a little pricey. Tried to get some feedback, but no one replied. I'd probably book if I knew it was worth it. Let me know if you find out anything else!! Vicki

My wife and I will be on the Summit 3/28 as well and have signed up through Celebrity for this as well for the $135. Let us know if you hear anything back.

They emailed me back and said they have a contract with Celebrity....won't book private parties from our cruise. We're still thinking about it. It looks like a great excursion, but lasts 6 hrs. Not sure we want to do a whole day although that lobster sure looks good!!!! Otherwise we're thinking about Mandoo tours. OH, such decisions!!
