Carib VS Nyork or LA sailings

Quick question. We always cruise the Carib'n where we find the motion of the ship quit smooth and the waters fairly calm.

 

If we were to sail from NYC to Bahamas, or LA to Mex Riviera would we notice much of a differance?

 

Small bet riding on this but I am guessing it would be generally rougher?

It's a matter of luck - Mother Nature, you know. ;) But from reading these boards, I'd say there is an increased chance of some rough water on the cruise back from the Bahamas to NYC. But I've been lucky, never had a terribly rough ride and most of my cruises have been out of NY.

Any feedback on the LA sailings?
