speedo232 Posted February 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2009 I enjoy the inside cabins. I have booked an inside cabin (3727)for the June 20 out of Venice. I have never stayed below deck 7 before. What are the positives and negatives of this deck? Have I made a mistake? Should I try to go higher? emdia43 Posted February 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2009 No you have selected a good location, not far from the elevators, cabins below you and the Casino above so nothing really noisy. Just a couple of stops on the elevator up to the shops, a few more up to the Windjammer and the upper decks. You won't feel much motion either being so low down. Not far to go when you want to get off at ports either. You picked a good spot.
bbrad8 Posted February 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2009 We have sailed on Enchantment Deck 2 (pre-stretch). The location is not bad at all. IF you are concerned about being 'centrally' located (you said you have always sailed on deck 7 or above), you are not (top to bottom). While it is convenient to the DR, shops, casino, etc if your 'thing' is the pool deck, Windjammer, and the outdoor areas, you are a LONG way away..........may be waits for the elevators. Didn't bother us (we use the stairs exclusively), simply letting you know so that you can make an informed decision. ;) Bruce
suekay Posted February 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Good cabin for reasons given by other posters. Plus, only one floor up when coming back from ports, so no waiting for elevators
vickiw0318 Posted February 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2009 I've had an OV on Deck 3 of the Splendour. We were right below the dining room and didn't hear a thing. It is easy to get around the ship from that deck. Enjoy your cruise.
