hriechel Posted February 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Hi, Can anyone tell me if MSC allows passengers to take their pool towels off ship for beach excursions? If so, are they good enough to take (thick enough/long enough) to take to the beach or should we pack a couple beach towels? We're not flying to port. We're driving. Thanks! WDBGUY Posted February 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2009 I just got off the Lirica on Sunday 02/22/09...they hand out huge blue towels at each port and you must return it when you get back or you will be charged $25 I believe.

They will take a note of your cabin number and how many you are taking at the outset, so make sure when you hand them back, they mark the sheet against your cabin number. The same applies when you borrow and return the orange pool towels. Dont just dump them back in the huge bin - make sure one of the crew takes note that you've returned them
Inshape Posted February 28, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2009 They have different ones for taking off the ship as compared to the ones for the pool. All lines charge a fee if towels are not returned.
