Checkin will probably open about 10am where you'll get issued with your cruise card and a boarding card. Boarding will then around 11am. The earlier you checkin the earlier you'll get on once boarding commences. It'll take about 20-30 min to board once you're number's called as you have to go through immigration and security.

Once on board you'll be able to get lunch from Cafe Del Sol (buffet on Lido Deck).

If you get there before 10 you'll be able check your luggage in - just have your ticket and passport availbale in case they want to see them (they're a bit inconsistant, some times they do, sometimes they don't).

Excellent thanks (again) !

That should mean we could get some rest before sailaway.

Just make sure you dont fall asleep and miss sailaway!

Are your kids young/teenagers?

If they are young kids, an afternoon nap might sound like a good idea.

If they're teenagers, you and your family probably wont feel like a nap.

By the time you board, have lunch, and set to exploring the ship, that is most the afternoon gone. You want to head up to deck early for a good sailaway view spot!

If your family isn't too young, I would recommend making the most of the afternoon on board, maybe unpack your luggage, have dinner and then maybe an early night if you are tired.

I think will all the excitement of a cruise (especially if it is your first cruise!), that you wont want to sleep.

But ofcourse up to you and your family and how you feel on the day.

Happy Cruising!! :)
