Just wondering what the rates are for WIFI on Freedom of the seas, and is it available in the cabins, or just in specified areas on deck

On there Freedom Class, it should work in your cabin. It did for us on the Liberty Deck 7 in the hump. The rates start at $.55 a minute and they have packages where the more minutes you buy, the less it cost per minute. Make sure you sign up for Crown and Anchor if you have sailed before, they give you a $5 coupon.

I think the cheapest package gets you down to about .37 per minute. WIFI should be available in your cabin on Freedom but WIFI in cabins is not available on many RCCL ships.

It does work in your cabin and they offer different rates. The more minutes in the package, the lower the rate. I was surprised that the speed was actually quite good.

Disconnecting from the server will not log you off and RCCL will keep charging you. If this happens they are good about crediting your account.

Thats why I said logoff. Its happened too me and I ripped through about $100 worth. Like you said, they are good about crediting it back.

On the MOS the WiFi was ONLY avaiable in certain locations on the ship and not in your room. They said that if your room was near on of those locations you MAY..be able to get service. ;)

MOS is either a Voyager or Sovereign class ship, depending on if you mean Mariner, Majesty or Monarch of the Seas.

 

At the moment Freedom class ships, which the OP asked about, are the only class that has complete ship wifi coverage
