jane02 Posted March 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2009 We will be on the Amalfi coast in August. We have done the road trip a couple of times and loved it but was wondering about doing a cruise of the coast line. I cannot seem to find anything here on the boards and was wondering if anyone had done a day cruise? Thank you

Girly_Girl Posted March 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2009 I have researched it and have emailed several boating companies. I can give you the info once I get something from them. I found some info on a board, I believe it was Tripadvisor, and it sounded like a great day. I will be there in July, so I can always give you feedback when I return. awatt Posted March 3, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Try capritimedotcom. Also google positano or amalfi tourism websites. last year we took a cruise from Positano to Amalfi and it was delightful. We were oart of a land tour so i don't know what company they used. But there were lots of boats at Positano doing this.

Girly_Girl Posted March 6, 2009 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2009 :D:DFantastic. Please email me kkliman@bigpond.net.au Thanks so much. Kellie, I would have emailed you info, but having received some prices on doing the water tour, I have sticker shock. I received quotes as high as 1700 euro. I think the best advice I have received so far is to do the coast by regular hydrofoils that travel the Amalfi. That will enable me to stop off and do my thing, eat where I would like, and see the places I would like to see. I think I will take one to Positano, have lunch and return to Capri and spend the rest of the afternoon there. For some reason, I have no interest in doing Pompeii

We have done the road trip a couple of times and loved it but was wondering about doing a cruise of the coast line. I cannot seem to find anything here on the boards and was wondering if anyone had done a day cruise?Thank you Jane, Here is the info I promised regarding a boat tour on the Amalfi coast... 1)the price of 700 euro is for the day tour (departure from Capri’s dock) by Motorboat Aprea Mare 33 feet, includes gas, white wine, soft drinks, beer, mineral water, light local snacks and snorkelling equipments. This boat can carry 10 pax, and during the private day tour we will be happy to recommend a traditional local restaurant near the sea for a delicious meal. 2) Our bigger boat is The Lancia Sorrentina 36 feet, this boat can carry 14 passengers, and the total cost is 900 euro(includes gas, white wine, soft drinks, beer, mineral water, light local snacks and snorkelling equipments). In case you will have a group bigger than 14 pax. I can also arrange two boats that will travel together during the tour. If you will prefer to start (and return) the tour from Naples’dock, the cost is 400 euro extra for each boat. contact http://www.barbarapositano.it ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We do tours from Positano either along the Amalfi coast, to Capri or to the Galli Isles and Nerano.
