Have you ever booked a guaranty balcony? Looking at the Miracle

We've never booked a guaranty stateroom, but are thinking about it for the Carnival Miracle because of the money saved.

If you've booked a guaranty, what has your experience been?

I can't find any information about obstructed views on balcony rooms on the Miracle.

Hi there...

I booked a gty balcony for our upcoming Miracle cruise...My first cabin assignment was an 8C cabin, and then was upgraded to an 8H - which I am REALLY looking forward too!

So, upgrades do happen.

I have booked a balcony guarantee on the Victory a couple yrs ago and I was very happy with our room. We did move up to a category 8C but I would have been happy with the original room because when you book a balcony guarantee you are guaranteed a balcony room with OUT an obstructed view. So either way, it's a good deal!

We booked our 1st balcony guarantee. Previously we always picked our room When we booked with our TA only guarantees were available, so I booked an 8B. We are cruising on the Splendoe in April doing the Mex. Riv. for the 1st time . So far we are assigned an 8E on the Lido deck. We are very excited. It's an awesome place to be on a brand new ship.:)

I booked an 4A guarantee on the Miracle and got a 7A that was barely obstructed. It was my first balcony and I loved every minute of it.

The only downside I could see with booking a balcony guarantee is that you might be way forward, which some people don't like because they say they feel the ship move more. Me, it doesn't bother.

We booked a guarantee on our upcoming Miracle cruise through our travel agent. We were given an 8G (5107--which is a balcony cabin with an extended balcony). Couldn't be happier, even if it is at the front of the ship. :)

We booked a balcony guarantee for our first cruise last year on the Legend. Having never cruised before, I figured I'd be pleased with whatever I got. I got assigned an 8F cabin on the Panorama deck - one deck below the pool and the food! We were very pleased with the central location that when we booked our cruise for this summer, we weren't willing to take the chance at not getting such a great room again and went ahead and booked the 8F rate. Having said that, I have absolutely no regrets about booking a guarantee - I still believe that I would have been happy with an 8A.

We've booked guarantees on all of our cruises except one. Which cabin were we the least happy with? You guessed it, the one we picked ourselves.:o Our Liberty cruise in Jan. we booked a balcony guar. and got an 8C. Cabin 8201, right behind the bridge. It was wonderful!! Couldn't be any quieter and motion wasn't an issue, even on a really windy day.

We booked an OV guarantee on the Miracle two years ago, and got bumped up to a a 7A "obstructed" balcony (5169). It was BARELY obstructed, as it was blocked by the "smaller" lifeboats (only came up to my knees or so, if I remember right). And it was a "gap" room, where the balcony occurred where the boats came together.

We could not only see out clearly, but also down (looking through the gap). I had no problems with this room at all. I've had a "normal" balcony since, and didn't notice much difference at all.

Done the balcony guarantee twice and got upgraded to Panorama deck on the Miracle and Lido on the Liberty. The other two balconies we booked during a past guest upgrade sale and were able to pick our room on Lido or Panorama.

We also had a 1A inside upgraded to a 4B on the Victory.

Hi we had booked a gaurantee room on miracle for jan 23.09

had no problem .

Before you book do a little research about the ship.

If your balcony is private or shared.

Make sure it is not near stairs or elevators.

And most important, make sure it is not obstucted.

You can use the ship lay out map,it will show you the deck youpick the room that is appealing to you.

Are room was great balcony and all ,the only problem was the smokers next to us it would blow onto our balcony.

One other thing make sure you wear your dress shorts black socks and sandals on board.

A BL gty. [any balcony] could result in a 7A cabin [obstructed view] lifeboat outside the balcony.

A 8A gty [8A or better] will not have a obstructed view.

I do not believe this is true. I looked it up on the Carnival website, and it shows a BL being a 8A-8F. Also, called TA to confirm, since this is what I picked, and he verified that the lowest we could get is an 8A.

What ship? A Conquest class does not have a 7A, category of cabins, so a BL gty on one of them could not be a 7A.

The Miracle [a Spirit class] does have 7A's and they are considered balconies.

Murphalina, I was upgraded to a 4k (obstructed view) Does the lifeboat completly block any light coming into the room? On carnivals sight this category is showing up as an inside cabin, with an obstructed view, french doors and a picture window. I normally book a balcony, and I am not familiar with this category.

Does anyone have pictures of this category on the miracle?
