San Juan Boarding

With cruises departing freom San Juan at 10pm what time can you board the ship? Is there a place to leave your luggage if you get to port before boarding time so you can do some sightseeing? This could be a huge factor on weather booking to leave from PR or not.

How early are you talking about? Boarding usually starts around noon, you can drop off your checked luggage without checking in, if you dont mind carryiing your carry ons around.

There is a store across the street from the pier that will hold you bags..BUT..I dont think they are open until about 9ish.

Sailing from San Juan is awesome. You can board as early as noon, drop you stuff off in your room then head back into Old Town for a walk about, shopping, etc. Or stay on the ship, explore, eat, swim, layout, whatever! Muster drill is really late...10ish, just before sailing.

Also, make sure you stop at the duty free liquor store in the Embarkation area. Prices are most excellent and it's the only port where you can carry on your liquor purchased (and as a side note, this same liquor store is not accessible when you disembark after your cruise...major bummer!)

The duty free store at the SJ Airport has about the same prices.
