norsie Posted March 2, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2009 What excursion is your favorite (and favorite tour guide) for a family with a 9 year old on Barbados? We have a 2 and 9 year old. If you would recommend something for a 9 year old but not 2 year old, we do have the ability to split up because there are others in our party. We'll be on the Serenade but are very open to an independent tour guide. Thanks for your suggestions!
boatdrinx Posted March 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2009 We took the Best of Barbados Tour with Glory Tours. We went to Harrisons Cave - you are in a tram that goes through the cave so not much walking. Then we had a local lunch followed by the Wildlife Reserve. There we saw the green monkeys and many other animals. After that, we went on a glass bottom boat and swam with the sea turtles and snorkeled. ( you can stay on the boat, if you want) This day was a big hit with the kids - especially the wildlife reserve. I believe that you can do the caves and wildlife tour without the sea turtle swim if you want, also.
libi777 Posted March 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2009 We recently returned and did the Green Monkey tour. We booked through the ship and it was well worth the money and time. They feed the animals and you get really close to the monkeys, deer and tortoises.
