rpinphx1 Posted March 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Hi, going to Athens in Dec. from Phoenix. Love BA world trav. plus but hate the 6 hr layover & getting into Ath @ 1:40am. I could go thru an East Coast hub, but worried in Dec. I chance delays w/ the weather. BA doesn't fly Phx to anything NY. Any suggestions how to get from Phx to Ath. NOT economy or first class.? Or should I get a hotel in London for one night to rest an avoid layover etc. Advice please. thanks so much

Alternatively, book an overnight at a Heathrow hotel (use Priceline - I've never paid more than US$80 for a 4-star hotel like the Sheraton or Marriott) and then catch a flight to Athens the following morning. It will help with jetlag, too.
rpinphx1 Posted March 4, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 4, 2009 thanks, that sounds good. I will check it out. Ever have trouble @ a overseas hotel w/ Priceline?

I'd go for 4 stars though, as I once bid 3 and got the Holiday Inn, with all the amenities one expects in a British hotel ca. 1960. :(
