WineDown17 Posted March 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2009 I was reading the thread about balconies- which I dont worry about as much as my toddle opening the cabin door-(we wont have a balcony in our suite) I can not recall the door set up on X- It was pre kids so I didnt notice! Is there a deadbolt or something more substantial to help keep him in the room? He is a monkey and a half.. loves to drag any item he can find to help him get at what he wants... We are in a suite, so we wont be as apt to hear him.. the bell idea is a good one.. I also saw a GE doorstop alarm for $10 that I may just get for sanity... Flipflopsnfrozendrinks Posted March 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Hi, We just got off Constellation. We were not in a suite, but in a FOV. The door to our room was so heavy, my DD (9) needed help holding it open to leave the room. I am not sure if this was because of the location (very aft, we heard wind consistantly), or if the doors are really that heavy. There is a deadlock on the door also. Also, I am recovering from a broken wrist, and I could not open the door with my weak wrist. Hope this helps, Kim
WineDown17 Posted March 8, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Thank Mommy of 2. I think a jungle bell from the holidays will be alarm enough.. My 12YO will also be sleeping out in the same room mwith him so he will also be helpful in this area! One less thing to worry about now. :)
